Once server-side tagging is implemented appropriately for analytics tracking, let’s look at how we may validate the same.
You may need to open the server container and open GTM preview mode from your Google Tag Manager, and then enter the shop URL, which will redirect you to the front end of the website.
While navigating in the front end, you may see the list of events being triggered based on the tagging configurations.
Say, for instance, that when you click on any product detail page while in GTM debug mode, you can see the view_item event is being triggered, and when you click on the data layer, you can see the pushed product information as shown in the video.
Specifically, this is for the event known as “view item” validation. We can validate all other events, in a similar fashion.
