How to Enable this feature for Universal Analytics? #
Universal Analytics Plugin automatically captures the full as well as partial refund transactions. In terms of settings/code level in the plugin, there’s nothing to be changed.
How to Enable this feature for Google Analytics 4? #
The procedure for tracking these refunds happens based on the API hits which is different from GA3. Hence, you use the GA4 – API secret key to make this work.
How to generate the API Secret key in (GA4)?
It is simple, let’s quickly see that.
Below are the steps to track the refund transactions in Google Analytics 4-
1: Go to analytics.google.com > Admin. #

2: Under the selected GA4 – Property, click on Data Streams and open the specific data stream. #

3: Scroll down and click on “Measurement Protocol API secrets” #

4: Here you can create a new API secret by clicking on “Create” and name it as per the requirement. #

5: You Created a new API key. Make sure to copy the it in the Conversios Plugin. #
Navigate to the Account Settings tab and find the “GA4 – API secrets.

Paste your Secret Value key and save the settings.
The Conversios plugin will capture refund transactions from now on and push them to Google Analytics.
