How to Set Up Google Ads Conversion Tracking for Conversios SST App
Conversios allows you to configure Google Ads remarketing and conversion tracking without manually adding tags or editing theme files.
Google Ads works automatically with Google Tag Manager once configured.
Go to App Settings → Wizard Setup → Google Ads
- Click Sign in with Google Ads
This sign-in is required only once. - Select the Google account associated with your Google Ads.
- After successful sign-in, all Google Ads accounts linked to this Google login are automatically fetched.
- Select the required Google Ads Account ID from the dropdown.
Google Ads Conversion Tracking
After connecting your Google Ads account, you can enable conversion tracking for key ecommerce actions.
Available conversion events:
- Add to Cart
- Begin Checkout
- Purchase
Each conversion will initially show Not Configured.
What Happens When You Click Enable
When you click Enable for any conversion event (for example, Add to Cart), a popup will open to configure the conversion ID and label.
Configure Conversion ID & Label
In the popup, you will see two options:
Option 1: Select Existing Conversion
- Use the dropdown Select Conversion ID and Label
- This list automatically fetches existing Google Ads conversions from your connected Google Ads account
- Select the required conversion and click Save
Option 2: Create New Conversion ID & Label
If you have not created a conversion in Google Ads yet:
- Click Create Conversion ID and Label
- A new conversion action will be created automatically in your Google Ads account
- The newly created conversion will be selected by default
- Click Save to enable tracking
No manual setup is required inside Google Ads.
Repeat the same steps for:
- Begin Checkout
- Purchase
Each event can use its own conversion action in Google Ads.
How to Verify Google Ads Setup
- Perform test actions on your store:
- Add to cart
- Begin checkout
- Complete a test order
- Use Google Tag Assistant or GTM Preview Mode to confirm tags fire
- In Google Ads, go to Tools → Conversions
- Check conversion status and activity
Note:
Google Ads conversion data may take some time to appear in reports.
