Prerequisites for Conversios MS App
Before installing Conversios for Microsoft Ads, review the following to ensure accurate tracking and clean product feed data.
1. Existing Tracking Apps or Scripts
- Uninstall or disable other Microsoft Ads / UET tracking apps
- Remove any hard-coded Microsoft UET scripts added to theme files
- Avoid running multiple apps for Microsoft Ads conversion tracking
This helps prevent duplicate conversions and inconsistent Microsoft Ads reporting.
2. Manual UET or Feed Setup
- Do not manually add UET tags in theme.liquid or other theme files
- Do not upload product feeds manually to Microsoft Merchant Center
- Conversios automatically manages UET tracking and product feeds
Using a single tracking and feed source ensures reliable data sync.
3. Order Tracking via Thank You Page
Purchase tracking requires customers to land on the Shopify Thank You page after payment.
- Orders are tracked only when the Thank You page loads
- Payment gateways must redirect customers back to the store after payment
- Most gateways include a return or redirect option – ensure it is enabled
If customers do not return to the Thank You page, purchase events cannot be recorded.
